The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for a variety of maintenance and equipment tasks onsite, utilizing knowledge and skills related to maintenance, refrigeration theory, control systems, pipe fitting, and structural layouts. In this position you will establish and maintain a positive relationship with customers, vendors and co-workers through effective oral and written communication skills. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and respond to service requests including replacement and modifications of equipment or systems as needed or requested. Communicates with Grow team members, management, and other members of the High Life Team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working with contractors and vendors
• Performing troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical systems
• Handling emergency service calls after business hours on an on-call rotation
• Perform building and equipment maintenance as required, using hand tools, motorized lifts and machine tools such as lathe mills, grinders, etc.
• Gathers and disposes of rubbish and waste materials by hand or with the use of powered equipment.
• Paints, installs drywall and makes interior changes as required
• Observes appearances and conditions of premises and equipment; reports needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services.
• Scrubs, strips, sanitizes, waxes, and buffs floors using powered machines equipped with rotating brushes.
• Cleans grounds and parking lots of litter, glass or other debris.
• Loads and unloads supplies, and moves heavy furniture and equipment using dollies, handcarts, or power equipment. Replaces light bulbs and fuses.
• May perform ground maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Subject to passing a background check per state cannabis regulations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 – 5 years industrial maintenance, electrical, and/or HVAC work experience preferred
• Ability to install, program, and troubleshoot variable frequency drives.
• Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work. Work effectively with minimal supervision
• You will regard safety as a core value; serve as role model for other employees and encourage adherence to safety practices, policies and procedures.
• You will need to have strong service and quality focus; address issues effectively when problems arise and take initiative to understand root cause, then communicate / education team in a timely manner.

Physical Requirements

· Regularly required to walk, sit or stand for long periods.

· Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

· reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

· frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
